The biggest festival in the European women surfing calendar gets underway at Costa do Estoril !

One of Europe’s best surfing spots plays host to a three days long surf festival, culminated with the ASP WQS Surf Championships and lots of free activities.

Portugal’s best national surfers and high-calibre newcomers from around the world will be vying for the prestigious ASP WQS 6-star crown and bring home the biggest part of the $ 35,000 prize pot.

Several elite surfers have confirmed their presence like the ASP Top 17 girls including last year's winner Jacqueline Silva (BRA) and runner-up Rebecca Woods (AUS) as well as ASP Women's World Tour rookies Paige Hareb (NZL), Bruna Schmitz (BRA), Alana Blanchard (HAW) and rising phenomenon Carissa Moore (HAW).

In addition to the surfing competition, the Estoril Billabong Girls event is also renowned for providing a lot of free activities like surf demos, Hip-Hop courses and Yoga lessons, huge parties and a glamorous fashion show presenting the latest Billabong Collection.

But that’s not all ! Meet and learn from the pro’s through surf lessons given by the Portuguese Billabong teamriders Patricia Lopes, Joana Rocha and Joana Andrade.
